My Life with Autism

Facts that you should know about me and my life with autism.

First off, never call someone with autism retarded, crazy or stupid.  That is a quick way to get you kicked out of their life for good.

Second, we are really attracted to colors and in our young age don't know when to keep our mouths shut.

People with autism have their own gifts. Mine is that I usually have an eye for creativity.

Part of my problem is I was sometimes talk to myself with I'm thinking, and that gets me into trouble.

Some more extreme forms of autism make it so you can't talk or walk.  

Asperger's syndrome, which is what I have, caused me to say dumb things, get angry a lot when I was being picked on, and I almost got arrested for doing nothing more than getting beaten up in class and trying to defend myself.

You can imagine how happy I was to get out of high school.

Another problem autism causes me is finding work.

People take one look at me and don't want to hire me because they know something is wrong, and that is what you should know about me.
